Love & Last

For this week’s Ronovan’s Weekly Haiku Challenge #42, the word prompts are ‘love’ and ‘last’. For some reason, I am reminded of Selena Gomez’s ‘The Heart Wants What It Wants’. LOL. But nevermind, here’s my haiku for this week. Hope you like it. 🙂

Love & Last

For those lost in love
That mysterious affliction
Is it meant to last?

  1. Good question! Love the leaf as well. ❤

    Thanks.
Is love chemical, emotional, physical, mental or a combination of all of these aspects? What makes people fall in love? Why do they fall out of love? Questions, questions and more questions… 😉

    • All good questions! I enjoy being at my age (62) and a grandmother and able to look back over love in all its forms like a treasure trove of many facetted crystals and see how the emotions of love swirl and form and fade and glow and then more and different pop up so unexpectedly – I can really LOVE a flower in my garden for instance, in that same obsessive way one feels about a new lover – not so intense perhaps but, yes, obsessive! Ha! oooo – I went off on one there didn’t I – loving this week’s prompt!

  3. Great haiku! I believe it starts as a chemical reaction between two people. Then it becomes physical, emotional, and finally mental. 😉
