Thorn

For week #71 of Haiku Horizons, the word prompt was ‘thorn’. I thought of unhappy memories and displaced souls. This haiku is dedicated to refugees who were forced to flee from their homeland.

Thorn

Pain of displacement
Memories of home like thorns
Nowhere to go to
